Vintage Globe Mounted on Board

This item is a vintage Replogle desktop globe featuring raised-relief topography and political boundaries that include the "Union of Soviet Socialist Republics" (USSR) & Sri Lanka and therefore dates the globe between 1972 & 1991. The globe is mounted within a full brass-finished meridian ring with etched degree markings, allowing it to rotate fully. It has been custom-mounted onto a rustic, weathered slab of natural wood or driftwood, which serves as a sturdy, textured base. The map utilizes an antique-style color palette with muted greens, pinks, and yellows, displaying some light surface wear and a vintage patina that highlights its mid-century cartographic origin.
