Vintage 1960s Terraquascope 7x35 Wide Angle Binoculars by Hiyoshi Japan – Original Case

A fantastic find for the vintage optics collector, these Terraquascope 7x35 wide-angle binoculars combine classic mid-century styling with Japanese optical craftsmanship.

Marked Montgomery-Frost Lloyd’s Co., Inc., the binoculars were produced in Japan and carry the J-B56 manufacturer code associated with Hiyoshi Kogaku Co., Ltd. (Hiyoshi Optical), a Japanese optical manufacturer known for producing binoculars for a number of respected brands during the mid-20th century.

The binoculars are marked 7x35 Fully Coated with an impressive 525 ft. field of view at 1,000 yards, giving them the extra-wide viewing field sought after in vintage 7x35 binoculars.

The textured black body retains its original vintage appearance, adjustable eyepieces and center focusing mechanism. Best of all, this pair includes its original fitted brown carrying case with shoulder strap, metal hardware and rich burgundy interior.

Both the binoculars and case show authentic age and use. The case has visible scuffing, edge and stitching wear, surface marks and wear to the strap and hardware. The binoculars have minor surface wear consistent with age. Please review all photographs closely for condition.

Original case displays more substantial age-related wear, including scuffing, edge wear, worn stitching/trim, oxidation to hardware and wear to the carrying strap.
