Lucky Strike Tin

This object is a vintage "Flat Fifties" tin for Lucky Strike cigarettes. The green metal container with the distinctive red circle logo dates from the late 1920s to the early 1940s. The tin was designed to hold 50 cigarettes packed in a single, flat layer, giving it the "Flat Fifties" nickname. It was a common form of packaging before paper packs became standard.
