Early Period Ironstone Soap Dish

This antique ironstone soap dish features a classic two-piece design consisting of a shallow, oval-shaped base and a matching domed lid. Made from heavy white ceramic, the piece is decorated with a delicate, hand-painted flow blue floral pattern depicting slender stems and leaves. A curved handle sits at the center of the lid, flanked by subtle, molded shell or feather-like embossing along its rim. The lower bowl displays a light glaze crack and charming signs of age, all resting on a rustic, dark wood tabletop.
