These are  decorative bee skeps, a type of basket made from woven natural materials.  A skep is bell-shaped with a rounded, domed top and a wider base.  The weaving is dense and textured, utilizing traditional basket-making techniques.

 

While authentic bee skeps were historically used as beehives, modern versions like the one pictured are usually sold for decorative purposes in farmhouse or country-style home and garden decor.
