This is an antique "Cream Top" spoon, also referred to as a separator ladle, typically dating from the mid-1920s. It was specifically designed for use with "Cream Top" milk bottles, which featured a distinct bulbous neck where cream would naturally collect. Users would insert this small, curved ladle into the bottle to easily skim and remove the thick cream from the top of the milk.
The spoon is made of tin, and features a short, curved handle embossed with the "Cream Top" brand name. This authentic vintage piece is marked with patent dates from September 2, 1924, and March 3, 1925. Today, these spoons are popular as rustic kitchen decor or collectibles related to dairy advertising history
