Manufactured by the famous Animal Trap Company of Mississippi, this decoy carries incredible historical provenance, stamped directly on its base from their iconic production hub in Pascagoula, Miss.
Carved from solid wood, this decoy portrays a Scaup (Bluebill) drake. The body features a deeply textured, faux-grain surface designed to minimize water glare, painted with a classic high-contrast black and white block pattern. One side retains its striking, bright yellow glass eye, while the opposite side shows an empty socket that adds to its authentic, hard-working field history. The smooth, blue-gray painted bill contrasts beautifully with the carved, rugged details of the head.
