This is a 55-inch handmade artisan broom featuring a long, straight natural wood handle and a symmetrically flared sweeping head. The bristles are crafted from stiff, rustic broomcorn or natural switchgrass fibers, tightly bound to the wooden dowel at the neck with thick, textured jute twine. A secondary decorative criss-cross weave of matching twine stabilizes the mid-section of the bristles to maintain the broom's uniform fan shape.
