It's built in the traditional European "knockdown" style, so it comes apart into two pieces, a tall upper cabinet and a separate drawer base. That makes it much easier to move up stairs and through doorways than a one-piece armoire.

Features

Solid pine construction with visible knots and natural grain

Original hardware throughout

Working door lock with the original skeleton key included

Two raised-panel doors, paneled sides and a stepped crown cornice top

Full-width drawer in the base with turned wood knobs and a keyhole

Scalloped apron along the bottom of the base

Two-piece design: the upper cabinet lifts off the drawer base for transport

Perfect for

Use it as a wardrobe or closet in a bedroom without one, as linen or pantry storage, or as a farmhouse TV or media armoire. The natural pine finish suits farmhouse, cottage and European country rooms, and it's also a great candidate for an Annie Sloan Chalk Paint makeover if you'd like a new color.

Condition

Great antique condition. It's solid and sturdy, the doors and drawer work smoothly, and there's only light wear consistent with its age, plus natural knots in the pine.
